Aberdeen City Council

Transforming our City

As the world emerged from Covid lockdown, Aberdeen City Council wanted to reinvigorate the city with an event focused on the progress happening in the city and the opportunities ahead – and importantly, how to get there. This event needed to break the mould and bring in a cross-section of local and national faces to offer diverse perspectives on regeneration and recovery. City officials were keen to get the people, communities and businesses of Aberdeen excited about where the city was going and position the region as a prime location for inward investment.

Top priority was finding a prominent keynote speaker to launch the event - we brought internationally renowned urban planner, Tim Stonor, to Aberdeen for the first time. We then devised four strategic themes for the day and secured a panel of engaging speakers for each session. We developed a visual identity and a series of films to show on the day, and launched an integrated campaign to encourage registrations across media, digital and direct outreach. During the event at P&J Live, which was hosted by Aspect’s CEO, we handled media coordination, speaker briefings and full event management, from guest sign-in to live social media updates.

Results included 16 high profile panellists and speakers being secured, 200+ event delegates - of which 60% were C-suite level - and a vibrant brand identity which could be used for future events.
